Bernard E. Bulwer, MD, MSc, FASC trained at the Lown Cardiovascular Center and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. After completing fellowship training in echocardiography at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, his passion is to make echocardiography more accessible to non-cardiologist by developing educational tools that will assist in the implementation of pocket echocardiography—or the ultrasound stethoscope—into medical education and healthcare. He serves as the principal investigator of a global project to implement portable echocardiography throughout the world.
